What do feds think about the events at the Capitol on Jan. 6?

The events which transpired Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol Building — during lawmakers’ counting of the Electoral College votes which formalized Joe Biden as the president-elect — have led to Cabinet resignations, calls for a congressional investigation and the departure of the Capitol Police chief. They have also led to calls for possibly invoking the 25th amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office.

But the incidents and subsequent response from officials may have a longer-term impact on federal workers in and outside the nation’s capital, and trust in agencies. And if that happens, the incoming Biden administration may be called to take specific action.
